The Acting Executive Director of Public Procurement & Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDAA), Hon. Ajang Deng Daniel, presided the 1st Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDAA) Staff General meeting, held at the PPDAA Board Room, brought together staff from all departments to discuss Updates on Activities, Challenges, and the Way Forward for the institution.
In his opening remarks, Hon. Ajang Deng Daniel emphasized the importance of collective effort in advancing the Authority’s mandate of ensuring transparency, accountability, and value for money in public procurement and asset disposal across South Sudan.
During the session, the heads of Departments and Units presented comprehensive updates on ongoing activities, including progress on regulatory compliance, capacity-building initiatives, and the status of procurement audits. Staff were encouraged to share insights on operational challenges hindering efficiency, ranging from logistical constraints to the need for enhanced digital infrastructure.
Hon. Ajang Deng Daniel, Ag. Executive Director of PPDAA reaffirmed management’s commitment to addressing the challenges raised and outlined key priorities aimed at strengthening the Authority’s oversight role.
“Today’s engagement reflects our shared commitment to reforming public procurement in South Sudan,” said Hon. Ajang Deng Daniel. “By addressing our challenges head-on and aligning on a clear way forward, we are building a stronger, more responsive PPDAA.”
The 1st PPDAA General Staff Meeting concluded with a resolution to enhance inter-departmental collaboration and accelerate the implementation of the Authority’s strategic plan for the fiscal year.
