The workshop brought together contractors, suppliers, consulting firms, and representatives of procurement entities implementing World Bank–financed projects in South Sudan.
The event aimed to strengthen engagement between public procuring entities and the private sector, enhance transparency and accountability, and build the capacity of businesses for effective participation in public procurement opportunities. During the interactive sessions, participants received presentations on the operational overview of World Bank–supported projects in South Sudan and updates on the revised World Bank Procurement Regulations.
In addition, the business community was introduced to the PPDAA’s official website, the tender portal, and online providers registration system, marking a key milestone in the digital transformation of the procurement process in South Sudan. These platforms are designed to improve access to procurement information, enhance competition, and promote greater participation of the private sector in World Bank Financed and Government tenders.
The workshop concluded with a networking and knowledge-sharing session that fostered collaboration and mutual understanding among stakeholders, underscoring PPDAA’s commitment to promoting a fair, transparent, and competitive procurement environment in South Sudan.
