The handing over of the hosting of 17th EAPF to PPDAA of South Sudan marked the end of 16th EAPF which was hosted by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority of Tanzania (PPRA) under the theme “Digitalization for Sustainable Public Procurement”. The EAPF is held by member countries on a rotational basis, and it has been a tradition that at the end of the ongoing EAPF, another member country is elected to be the next host in the following year. This year all member countries agreed that the honor to host the 17th EAPF be bestowed upon PPDAA of South Sudan which is the newest member of the group. The hosting of the 17th EAPF will enable PPDAA showcase procurement reforms taking place in South Sudan and will provide procurement practitioners of South Sudan learn and benchmark with what is happening in the East African Countries.
